AMENDABLES is a garment repair and alteration platform operated from Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom. Our registered email is hello@amendables.com. We are committed to protecting your personal data under UK GDPR.
We collect: your name and email address when you create an account; photographs of your garments for repair assessment; payment information processed securely by Stripe (we never store card details); your address when booking home visits; and usage data to improve the platform.
We use your data to: provide the garment repair service; process payments; communicate about your repair status; improve our AI diagnostic engine using anonymised data only; and comply with legal obligations.
Garment photographs are processed by Claude AI (Anthropic) for damage assessment. Images are used only for diagnosis and are not stored by Anthropic after processing. We retain your photos on secure storage to maintain your repair history.
We share your data with: craftspeople assigned to your repair (name and address only, for home visits); Stripe for payment processing; Resend for transactional emails; Shippo for postage label generation. We never sell your data.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; object to processing; and data portability. Contact hello@amendables.com to exercise any of these rights.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Repair photos are retained for 2 years to maintain garment history. Payment records are retained for 7 years for legal compliance.
